I’m Ready To Download My Healthy Eating Guide

Start 2019 By Boosting Your Health

We all feel a little exhausted and overfed after the Christmas and New Year holidays, with thoughts of weight loss and detox. Our bodies certainly need some TLC, and we think a better way to do this is by giving it a nutrient boost by eating the rainbow of phytonutrients.

Why Phytonutrients?

Phytonutrients are natural components of plants that are powerful defenders of health. Studies show that people who eat more plant foods have reduced risk of chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, and cancer.

In the human body, phytonutrients stimulate enzymes that help the body get rid of toxins, boost the immune system, improve cardiovascular health, promote healthy oestrogen metabolism, and stimulate the death of cancer cells.

Fruits and vegetables are rich sources of phytonutrients, along with whole grains, legumes, herbs, spices, nuts, seeds, and teas. Phytonutrients in food come in all different colours—green, yellow-orange, red, blue-purple, and white.

The ‘Institute of Functional Medicine’ tells us to promote good health, it is important to eat fruits and vegetables of varied colour each day, as plants are good medicine for chronic disease prevention and treatment.

What Am I Downloading?

We have created a 3-page document that has a list of different phytonutrient foods differentiated by colour, with a simple 6-step guide of how you can increase the consumption of phytonutrients in your diet, and a tracking sheet to measure your progress.
